Poop and diaper sprayers
So, my baby (almost 13 months old) has been eating solids well enough to make for messy (read mushy) poops in his diaper. Up until he had smelly, real food poops, I just put his breast milk poopy diapers in the wash as is. I didn't dunk or rinse or anything like that. The first cold wash in the washing machine was always quite yellow. Didn't bother me. But once he started eating solids (another late bloomer, like his brother) I started dunking and swishing the diapers. Never bothered me with DS1... but DS2 likes to get into EVERYTHING. And I just happened to have several diaper sprayers in stock (bumGenius brand). So DH installed it. Very easy to install! And boy oh boy! How did I live without one of these?!?! No more swishing a poopy diaper around in the toilet bowl! Just spray and sqeeze out the excess water (the sqeezing part doesn't seem to be an obvious step for my husband). How easy is that? There is even a lever to shut the water off to the sprayer when not in use. I am sure I will get good use out of that lever once my baby floods my mater bathroom because, at present, I don't use said lever. :)
